This is a picture of one of the tables in the outside concessions at school. It was taken on Tuesday when the area was completely empty of people.

This is Erik Lindeman in the Digital Photo classroom yesterday. After sitting at his computer reading the day's assignment, he decided to sit on the table and cover his face because no one would listen to his complaints.

Simplicity: Definitely a simple picture. Couple be improved by having the pen in focus (mainly). Also try other camera positions. Close to one end with the pen moving away down a diagonal for instance. Focus is key though.

Close up: This close up is focused well and Anna is on a third intersection. It could be improved by utilizing simplicity by removing the distracting background items (i.e. the person merged with the frame).
The caption would be better if it did not talk about the photo event ... "Anna Thostenson makes a funny face after typing her assignment in the computer lab 7th period yesterday." Something like that. I'm sure you can do better than what I have.
Frame within a frame: You need to take your own pictures. Pictures taken by others will not be accepted (though the caption will).
Caption: Again, rarely should the caption reference the photo being taken.
Lines: The lines do lead you to the table. The picture also utilizes thirds. It could be improved by removing the car in the top, and perhaps shooting from an angle that removes the bright light area.
Caption: Same issue.
Rule of thirds. Good framing. Improvements: remove the shirt and paper (distractions.) Possibly include his feet in the shot. The computer on the right is good because that's where the horrendous assignment is. Perhaps move the keyboard into the frame.
Caption is good. It has no reference to "this photo". Though you don't need to say, "This is ..." Say instead, "After sitting at his computer reading the day's assignment in digital photography, Erik Lindeman sits on the table and covers his face because no one would listen to his complaints."
i really like all the pictures except rule of thirds because erik lindeman doesn't look good in it. :) and your second frame within a frame is much better
